More from the family shoot….. Here are some of the ones that my sweet friend shelly took. I am so excited to have some shots of us–since I’m always the one behind the camera. She took the pictures and I edited them…I will post some of hers tomorrow–they are a sweet family and I’m excited about their pics.

after doing these types of dof shots for others…..I really wanted one for us! Can’t wait to get these printed and see how they look……

a little orton technique and fairytale setting

remember the family shoot that we were doing with some friends last week? well, i am in the middle of editing them–but, love this fairtale setting under the big willow tree. with all the talk on the MB about the orton technique–i decided to try it here for that dreamy look…..
what do you think? the first and the third are with orton. the 2nd is a just a gaussian blur for the background.

can’t wait to post some more this week of the 3 of us. This has been one of my favorite spots to take pictures–gorgeous scenery and a variety.

glorious sky and a storyboard….

so i was driving to a photo shoot last saturday and the sky just looked glorious…..i love the sun rays streaming through the clouds, so I had to try to take a pic.
It’s crooked b/c I had my new SB600 on the camera–and it was hitting the top of the car b/c it was too tall—i couldn’t look through the viewfinder–and stay on the road that is….
So I just kinda aimed–and clicked…..:0
Apart from the crooked road and horizon….pretty good shot huh??

Tonight (thursday), we are getting together with another couple and are going to take family pictures for each other…I am so excited! I have it all planned out in my head–now I just hope it actually turns out that way. Hopefully, we’ll get some good pics for each other….Yeah!

And a couple more from the shoot….
i got this cute template over at ilp—first time I have used it…i like it.

don’t you just want to call this dog, “Benji???”

sweet, sweet family. They were a blast!

new little spot….

went to a new little spot with this fun open grassy area and cool log…..How’s my color on these?? I so desperately want to get my color down….working on that…! Took these in Evening Light–so there is a definite warm glow…too red? this is a diff bw conversion–more dramatic and moody….might be a tad dark…but, wanted a deep soulful pic….

mountains and dancing….

a few pics from our trip to Stone Mountain yesterday….man that was tough work getting to the top! Jason carried Gracen and I carried my camera bag…:) We had a great time and it was well worth the hike once we got to the top! These were taken with my 70-300mm—I need to clean that lens!!! I think I need to get one of those Rocketblower things…..had to clone out a couple specks….

and these….
just make me laugh.
