thank you aunt cathy for sending a care package for gracen…..to say she loves the bunny would be an understatement…..it hasn’t left her arms the past 2 days……
different pp on this one…..used a gradient map like erika suggested…….i kinda like it….but don’t think i got her ‘vintage rock’ look exactly…..i’ll keep trying…:)
(how i would normally edit)
(gradient map)huge SQUEEZE……
“boy, i love this bunny….” ‘oops,….done with this photo shoot, mom….” “uh-oh…..where’d the bunny go???”
and since i haven’t been on theme all week……Here is a SOOC pic—The warm lamplight killed my white balance in these…..very red and very warm—I used a gray card–but, it still didn’t expose quite right….so, thought I’d show my fix….it’s killing me….
how’s the color on this?? lightened with levels, bumped contrast, pulled the color balance slider towards cyan and then towards blue a bit. I’ve looked at it so much–can’t tell what color it is anymore….thoughts?? IT’s driving me NUTS!!! :0 and—in bw…… the little onesie is from target and says “instructions not included”—pretty adorable……
I have so many friends who are in the process of adopting right now for the first time…..so excited for them! several are going to ethiopia–sweet janaand jami and becca
can’t wait to see them with their babies!
can’t wait to hold my sweet little one either…….
daddy and gracen in taiwan…. daddy and gracen yesterday…. blessing beyond blessing… gracen’s ‘smiley’ face
yesterday was a day of packing for us. Several people from church graciously and joyfully came over to help us pack and we got SO MUCH DONE! We are so thankful for their help. Our garage is filled with boxes and we only left out the necessities. We are even eating off of paper plates and such for the next 2 weeks. Anything to get more stuff in boxes!
In the middle of packing yesterday–I went outside to find my butterfly bush covered with about 4-5 butterflies! Couldn’t help but thinking about “Change” as we are in the midst of one and all all these beautiful creatures just emerged from their cocoons….
So much change for us:
*moving back North….after 8 years in the south (I think it’ll still be “soda” for me instead of “pop“…..)
*beginning a church plant in a new city
*trying to sell our house
*saying good-bye to loved ones here
*back to renting
*closer to family–yeah!
These were taken with my 70-300mm which is not my sharpest lens by far….but, I couldn’t get too close for fear they’d fly away….
gracen loved this little horse ride….:) She climbed right on up there all by herself. She is getting so big I can hardly believe it! We started potty training–but with the move coming up, it’s kinda been postponed….but I think she’s ready. (in case anyone was interested…:) spent the week trying to look for housing and found this beautiful duplex to rent. We still need our house here to sell–so please keep that in your prayers. It was wonderful visiting with the families in the church plant and we are excited to take this step of faith.
Only a few weeks left before the big move. Have some more good-byes to say here and LOTS of packing to do. So…..that’s why I haven’t been keeping up with this blog….I’ll try to keep posting…
Also, we have now been waiting 10 months for our referral of precious baby #2! Been thinking about our sweet baby so much and wondering when I’ll get to hold him or her in my arms. The wait in Taiwan continues to be long right now—about 18-24 months for a referral. Wow! So much longer than the 8 month wait for Gracen.
