the long, long winter has attacked my desire to pull out the camera the past few months….
As I type this, it started snowing again.
However, this morning–due to the lack of capturing my little ones this season, I decided to do a quick mini-photo shoot on our front door step….
Thankful I did….was able to capture this….

wow! it feels like ages since I have blogged….maybe b/c it has been ages….
Things have been so busy the last month and half! Haven’t had time to sit down and catch my breath….we certainly have jumped right into summer and I can’t believe it is the middle of June already!
May brought a fun visit from Grandma who helped with SO MANY outdoor projects! I have got to take some pics of our beautiful garden we added under the deck–(which we stained too!)
We also spent 2 nights at Great Wolf Lodge–it was a blast!
Then Gma and Gpa came for a visit the first weekend in June and brought the most amazing bubble toys! These bubbles are ENORMOUS….I mean seriously–HUGE.
We all got in on the fun! Great way to spend a summer evening on the deck…..
seriously—-these bubbles are HUGE! want to know where to find them??? walgreens…..in the bubble section…..they have toy story, disney princesses, mickey mouse, etc. And…..they are only $3.99!
You’ll definitely get more than $3.99 out of them!
and…some seriously cool photo opportunities!
so…..back to work for now……..but had to share!

I first met J when she was three and half years old. Cannot believe she will soon be in high school.
I often hear others say, “Enjoy every moment while your children are little–because it goes by fast.”—-
with every passing day, month and year…I grasp this truth a bit more.
Thankful for the everyday moments with my family.
I had the wonderful opportunity to capture some of sweet baby a’s first moments. She is so beautiful and was such a good baby.

It was such a blessing to be able to get away for a few days with just jason last week. Thankful gma and great gma were willing to come watch the kiddos….
We spent a day in Niagra–and saw the falls for the first time. So powerful. And, there just happened to be a bonus—a rainbow in front of the falls…..made for some nice images…..
I haven’t had time to process anything yet–just this one really quick. We also spent a couple days in Toronto–which we loved. We were able to see Sound of Music on stage and it was fabulous! The set changes were incredible. Magical.

Still here……..Just haven’t blogged for a few days—or maybe a week now…..hmmm……been busy and sick this past week. Hate being sick–but kinda thankful for some ‘downtime.’ Time to sleep……Time to rest.
The past 7 months have been so busy….crazy busy….spending time reflecting on my time and priorities….
I have so many design projects in the works—-but just not enough time to get them all done ‘yesterday…’
and a beautiful family that I love and adore and try to take care of…..
balance is so hard for me–I am such an ‘all or nothing’ type person…I find myself focusing on one area–to only discover I am neglecting another…..such is the way of it I suppose….
so….this week–thinking and reflecting on balancing it all….enjoying life–honoring the Lord with my time and my talents–and loving my family well.
I was playing around with shutter speeds and showing motion this morning and thought this photo was a good reflection of this post….
So this is pretty fun! I’m published! So, I had the opportunity a while back to take pictures for the sweet Deyoung family and also took a headshot of Kevin for his new book. Pretty fun to see it in print…..
Reading through his books right now…..very cool. What’s also fun is that Jason is mentioned in the acknowledgements of both these books as well. He has been blessed by Kevin’s friendship and the time they have to hang out.
and then I just found out there was an article in ‘Christianity Today’ on Kevin–with a picture I took of him–so I am published in the magazine as well…..pretty fun!
